When my mother, Adriana, wanted to join me at a YouTube conference, I told her I would help her start her own channel so that she could register for the event. Neither one of us expected that her first video cooking Colombian food would rack up over 150,000 views. When it did, we knew the work was just beginning.

In addition to designing video graphics, I did food styling, art direction, social media, and some wardrobe for her channel. Using YouTube's analytics, I helped her find her niche in the underrepresented Colombian food scene online. Over the last four years, I've also helped to reformat the show in order to improve viewer retention.

All of these efforts have paid of tremendously. To date, Sabados Con Adriana has almost 190,000 subscribers, and her most popular video has over 800,000 views. Her viewers love seeing traditional Colombian food made simple, and they love Adriana even more.
