Templates: Microsoft Store

In the Books section of Microsoft's web store, designers were often using product imagery to create eye-catching visuals. However, inconsistent use of shadows detracted from their impact. Books appeared to be floating in space.

Drawing on my vast experience with product imagery at Amazon, I helped fix the problem by adjusting templates and creating standards for how shadows were used across their pages.

These tools helped designers focus the visual tone across the Books section. Not only did the work become simpler and more consistent, it elevated the shopping experience for Microsoft Store customers by making products feel more realistic.
